In Jammu and Kashmir, Vice Chancellor of Moulana Azad National Urdu (MANUU) University, Professor Mohammad Mia on Wednesday inaugurated the Distance Study Center of the University at Degree College in Kargil. The Chief Executive Councilor Kargil Kacho Ahmad Ali Khan was also present on the ocassion.Our correspondent reports, the Vice Chancellor who interacted with the students said that MANUU, is a Central University is establishing study centers in the state in the official language of the State Urdu. He said the University offers tremendous learning potential for the Urdu knowing People. He announced special provisions for the students of Kargil who want to pursue regular courses of Master Degree from tthe University.He also said that the university is planning to open a women polytechnic college in Srinagar with a teacher training center for encouraging the girl students.On this occasion the Chief Executive Councilor LAHDC Kargil Kacho Ahmad Ali Khan also interacted with the students and thanked the Hon’ble Vice Chancellor for visiting Kargil by traveling such a long distance via Road from Srinagar. He stressed on the need of reviving of Urdu Language and said that MANUU is playing an important role in the promotion of Urdu language.
