'Disruption in Parliament is unacceptable: President Pranab Mukherjee

President Pranab Mukherjee has said, disruptions in Parliament are unacceptable. Delivering the Defence Estates Day Lecture on Electoral Reforms in New Delhi today, Mr Mukherjee said, people send their representatives to Parliament to debate, transact business and not to sit on dharnas. He urged the senior leaders of all parties to resolve the differences, however serious they may be, and ensure smooth functioning of Parliament.<br/><br/>The President pitched for increasing the number of Lok Sabha seats to make the House more representative. He also emphasised on holding simultaneous elections to the Lok Sabha and state assemblies maintaining that it can save public money.<br/><br/>Mr Mukherjee also called for reviving the Women Reservation Bill which has already been passed by the Rajya Sabha.
