Government said it is ready to explore a meaningful relationship with Pakistan, if it seriously addresses the threat of terrorism and stops terror acts against India. In a related development, Foreign Secretary Nirupama Rao said, India is disturbed by the call for jihad by certain elements in Pakistan. She also made it clear that terrorism will dominate the forthcoming Foreign Secretary-level talks.

Speaking at a conference in London, Mrs. Rao said, India has consistently maintained that Pakistan should bring perpetrators of the Mumbai terror attacks to trial expeditiously and dismantle terror infrastructure on its soil. She added that it is in this connection that Pakistan's Foreign Secretary Salman Bashir has been invited for talks in New Delhi on February 25. Mrs Rao said, Pakistan has taken certain steps against terrorism in a selective manner which is meaningless.

On the same issue, the Foreign Minister S M Krishna said, all issues concerning the relations between the two countries will be taken up during the forthcoming talks.
