<span style="color: #222222;">Discussions and negotiations for the formation of a new government in Kerala are actively gearing up in the Left Front. </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The CPI (M) state secretariat meeting was convened today to discuss the assigning of ministerial berths to the prospective leaders.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">Chief Minister Pinarayi Vijayan and CPI (M) state secretary A. Vijayaraghavan and Kodiyeri Balakrishnan spearheaded the discussions.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The CPI (M) politburo meeting scheduled to be held tomorrow is expected to finalize on the major decisions and chart out a clear picture of the second Pinarayi cabinet.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The swearing-in date will be decided in the next few days after the LDF meeting approves the list of ministers.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The  constituent parties of the Left Front are also convening separate meetings as well.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">On Monday, Pinarayi Vijayan had visited Governor Arif Mohammed Khan and handed over the resignation of his cabinet.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">The Governor accepted the resignation and directed the Chief Minister to continue in office till the formation of the new government.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"> </span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;">However, the swearing-in ceremony of the new cabinet is likely to be delayed at least a week in view of the lockdown-like restrictions to be in effect across the state from Tuesday to Sunday. </span><br />''  <br />
