Rajya Sabha has admitted eight notices from different parties seeking a discussion on Foreign Direct Investment (FDI) in the multi-brand retail under Rule 168 which entails voting.

Announcing this in the House, Chairman Mohammed Hamid Ansari said the date and time for discussion will be decided later.

Welcoming the announcement, Deputy Leader of BJP Parliamentary Party in the Rajya Sabha, Ravi Shankar Prasad assured the Chair of the smooth running of the House.
