India is disappointed with the US court verdict acquitting Tahawwur Hussain Rana of the charges in the Mumbai terror attacks.External Affairs Minister SM Krishna on Friday said India might not be very much satisfied with the verdict as linkages between the two persons facing the trial and the Mumbai terror attack were fairly evident.He said India would ask the US to give it a chance to interrogate Rana. Krishna said it was in the interest of India-Pakistan relations that the controversy behind the 26/11 strikes should be investigated in a transparent manner.UK Bansal, Secretary, Internal Security in the Ministry of Home Affairs, said the National Investigating Agency (NIA) will decide on filing chargesheet against Rana and Headley in an Indian court.He said this would be done after examining the US court verdict and reviewing the documents and evidence produced in the Chicago court, that it expects to receive.The BJP has described as curious and odd, that though Rana has been found guilty of conspiring with the LeT, he was acquitted of the 26/11 charges.The US court on Friday acquitted Pakistani-Canadian businessman Rana of the charges relating to his involvement in the 2008 Mumbai terrorists attacks but found him guilty of helping the Lashkar-e-Toiba, the outfit India blames for the carnage.Rana faces a maximum sentence of 30 years in prison on the two counts.
