Director-General of National Cadet Corps, Lt. General Gurbirpal Singh today reviewed the Passing out Parade of newly inducted Associate NCC Officers at Officers Training Academy at Kamptee near Nagpur.<br />'' <br />'' A total of 706 Associate NCC Officers (ANOs) were inducted into the service at this jucture.<br />'' <br />'' While speaking to media persons on the sidelines of the ceremony, Lt. General Gurbirpal Singh lauded the recently launched the 'Agneepath' Scheme for recruitment of soldiers by the Ministry of Defence. He expected that thousands of NCC cadets would be benefiting from this scheme.<br />'' <br />'' He said, under this scheme, youths will be able to work in defence forces for four years and thereafter these Agniveers can go back to society and play the role of responsible citizens.<br />'' <br />'' Cadet Training Officer Geo Reji bagged the Director General's Baton with Commandant's Gold Medal for meritorious performance during the training period while Cadet Training Officer Mukesh Sundhesa won Commandant's Silver Medal and Cadet Training Officer Gagan Das got Commandant's Bronze Medal. &nbsp;<br />'' <br />''The Cadet Training Officers went through a rigorous training programme of forty-five days, which included Physical Training, Weapon Training, Yoga, Drill, Leadership &amp; Personality Development and a host of other Military, Social Awareness and Disaster Management activities to empower them to conduct NCC cadet training efficiently in their respective units.
