Director Agriculture takes stock of progress on implementation of PM KISAN in North Kashmir

Director Agriculture Kashmir, Chowdhary Mohammad Iqbal on Sunday reviewed the status of progress on the implementation of Pradhan Mantri Kisan Samman Nidhi PM-KISAN in south Kashmir.<br />'' <br />'' Addressing a meeting of officers of south Kashmir including Pulwama, Shopian, Kulgam and Anantnag districts, Mr Iqbal directed concerned officers to ensure the set targets under different scheme and flagship programmes are achieved by the end of August this year.<br />'' <br />''Mr. Chowdhary reiterated the department's commitment to work for the welfare and well-being of the farming community. Highlighting the importance of the PM KISAN scheme, the Director said the scheme is aimed to provide income support to all the eligible farmers and to supplement the financial needs of the farmers in providing various inputs to ensure proper crop health and appropriate yields. He gave onspot directions regarding completion of PM Kissan Targets so that they could be achieved well in time and farmer's get proper benefit of the scheme and other flagship programs being implemented by the Department.
