Direct tax collections has gone up by 19.09 percent. The net direct tax collected during the period of April-September 2010 stood at 1,81,758 crore rupees, up from 1,52,625 crore rupees in the same period last fiscal. An official release says that this is against the Budgeted annual growth target of 13.67 percent. Growth in Corporate Income Tax was 21.74 percent with 1,22,433 crore rupees as against 1,00,572 crore rupees, while Personal Income Tax including grew at 13.79 percent.
