Dilshan suggests bowling a no ball: Media report

Media reports say that it was Sri Lankan batsman Tillakaratne Dilshan who suggested off-spinner Suraj Randiv to bowl a no ball to deny Indian opener Virender Sehwag his century during tri-series match in Dambulla on Monday. Sri Lanka Cricket, SLC, which has ordered an internal probein to the no-ball controversy, is yet to make its report official. However, a local daily has reported that Dilshan, who was fielding at cover point, shouted in Sinhalese to Randiv to bowl a no ball. The report said, none of the Sri Lankan players reacted to Dilshan's advice to bowl the no ball. Earlier on Tuesday, SLC initiated an inquiry under team manager Anura Tennekoon. Randiv and top SLC officials also offered apologies to calm the furore. Meanwhile, following apologies the Indian team management declared the episode a closed chapter.
