The Indian mixed doubles duo of V Diju and Jwala Gutta has entered the quarterfinals of the World Badminton Championships. In Paris Diju and Jwala overcame early sluggishness on Thursday to beat Singapore's Chayut Triyachart and Lei Yao in three games 14-21 21-18 21-14. The Indians will now face 12th seeds South Korea's Sung Hyun Ko and Jung Eun Ha for a place in the semifinals. The Korean pair had shocked fifth seeds Joachim Fischer Nielsen and Christinna Pedersen of Denmark. The Indians had only recently beaten the Korean pair in the Singapore Open Super Series 23-21 21-16.
