It is playing a key role in extending digital banking services in rural areas. To begin with it is offering banking services through micro ATMs and mobile ATMs through 528 Business correspondents and 104 Bank Sakhies. <br/><br/>The Chairman of the Bank S Ravindran spoke to us about the efforts made by the bank to introduce digital banking in rural areas. Digital Banking has thrown open greater possibilities of eliminating middlemen and to introduce greater accountability in the banking system.
