Prime Minister Narendra Modi inaugurated Digital India Week 2022 at Mahatma Mandir in Gandhinagar today. The theme of this Digital India Week is 'Catalyzing New India's Techade' to transform the nation into a digitally empowered society and knowledge economy. Addressing a gathering after inaugurating Digital India Week 2022, Prime Minister Narendra Modi said Digital India has made life so easy for those born in 21st century. We solved the queue system by going online.<br />'' <br />'' Mr. Modi has also launched 'Digital India Bhashini' that will enable Indians an easy access to the internet and digital services in vernacular languages. He also launched 'Digital India GENESIS' – Gen-next Support for Innovative Startups- a national deep-tech startup platform. The total budget of 750 crore rupees has been envisaged for these schemes. The Prime Minister has also dedicated 'MyScheme', which will provide access to government schemes at a single place.<br />'' <br />'' The Digital India Week 2022 programme will demonstrate the digital platforms like Aadhaar, UPI, Cowin and Digilocker among others which have provided ease of life to the citizens. Startups, government leaders and industry and academia experts will participate in this programme. An exhibition with more than 200 stalls has been set up at Mahatma Mandir by Indian unicorns and startups. Prime Minister Modi also visited this exhibition and interacted with the people connected with startups and unicorns.<br />'' &nbsp;<br />'' Digital India Week 2022 will also have a three-day long orientation program 'India Stack Knowledge Exchange- Showcasing India Stack and India's Digital Products and Service' from 7th July.<br />'' <br />'' Prime Minister Narendra Modi has said that India is guiding the world in the fourth industrial revolution. He said that the country which does not adopt modern technology with the passage of time, the time moves ahead leaving it behind. He said that India was a victim of this during the third Industrial Revolution, but today we can proudly say that India is guiding the world in the fourth industrial revolution.<br />'' <br />'' Prime Minister Modi was addressing the programme after inaugurating the Digital India Week 2022 at Mahatma Mandir in Gandhinagar this evening. He said that India has set an example of how revolutionary the use of technology is for the entire humanity in the form of Digital India campaign. He expressed happiness that the campaign launched eight years ago has been expanding itself with the changing times.<br />'' <br />'' Mr. Modi said that we had to remain in line for taking birth certificates, paying bills, getting ration or taking admission etc just 10 years back but now everything is online. He said that more than 23 lakh crore rupees have been transferred directly to the bank accounts of the beneficiaries in the last 8 years. He said 2 lakh 23 thousand crore rupees of the country have been saved from falling into the wrong hands due to this technology.<br />'' <br />'' He said that the world's largest and most efficient Covid vaccination and Covid relief programmes run on a digital platform. He said that the government has transferred thousands of crores of rupees to the bank accounts of crores of women, farmers, laborers of the country at a single click. He said that with the help of One Nation-One Ration Card, we have ensured free ration to more than 80 crore countrymen. Mr. Modi said that the power of Digital India has helped the country immensely in combating the Corona pandemic.<br />'' <br />'' Mr. Modi said that FinTech's endeavor in India is truly a solution by the people, of the people, for the people. He said that India is going to expand the future of digital technology in many sectors including space, mapping, drones, gaming and animation. He said that provisions like IN-SPACe and new drone policy will give new energy to India's tech potential in the coming years.<br />'' Prime Minister Modi said that India is working on the target of taking electronics manufacturing to more than 300 billion dollars in the next three to four years. He said that India wants to become a chip maker from a chip taker.
