In Jammu and Kashmir, Deputy Inspector General of Border Security Forces (BSF) has been killed and two BSF jawans injured in a land mine blast at Ballar post on Indo-Pak International border in Ramgarh sector of district Samba near Jammu. The incident took place when the vehicle of the officer, identified as DIG BSF Jammu range O P Tanwar, passed over a land mine during the routine patrolling on the border this morning. AIR correspondent quoting official sources reports that the BSF party had gone to review the border situation after the security forces had foiled an infiltration bid on Sunday night. After declaring high alert the entire border have been sealed and the army have also been deployed in the border area where the incident took place. The two injured BSF jawans have been referred to govt. Medical College Jammu for the treatment. It is suspected that the land mine had been planted by the intruders from the Pakistan who had been pushed back by the security forces last night. Observing some movement on the border, the BSF troupes after the cross-firing between the infiltrators that said to be had lasted for an hour around 0200 hours last night, had succeeded in pushing the intruders back. The checking of the outgoing vehicles from the area has been intensified.<br/>
