In Nepal, differences persist between the ruling allies CPN-UML and the UCPN (Maoists) on the proposal of the Maoist to reshuffle the Jhala Nath Khanal led government. The Standing Committee of the CPN-UMl which met on Thursday repeated its stand that it will endeavour to form a national government. The party said it will hold further talks between the major three political parties for peace and constitution drafting process. The CPN-UML has earlier turned down the proposal of the Maoist to reconstitute the cabinet saying it was ill-timed. The Maoist on the other hand said that it was an internal matter of the party and had submitted a list of ministers to be sworn in the government. It had threatened to pull out from the government if the new team is not sworn in. The main opposition Nepali Congress continued obstruction of the Parliament for the fourth day today demanding the resignation of the Prime Minister under the five point deal that led to the extension of the term of Constituent Assembly by three months which expires on 31st of next month.AIR correspondent reports, the stalemate continues between the ruling allies the CPN-UML and the Maoists. Prime Minister JhalaNath Khanal is under tremendous pressure from within his party and from the main ally the Maoist on whose support he became the Prime Minister. Earlier, on Thursday, the Maoist Chairman and the Prime Minister met on the issue of reshuffle of the cabinet, however his party CPN-UML again rejected the proposal saying the focus should be on peace and consensus.
