Diesel turns dearer by 95 paise a litre<br/>

Diesel has become dearer by 95 paise per litre from midnight last night. The change is inclusive of state levies and will vary from state to state. Diesel will now cost 45 rupees 90 paise in the national capital. In Kolkata price will be 49 rupees 52 paise, in Mumbai 53 rupees 9 paise and in Chennai 47 rupees 7 paise. At the last revision on 30th September, diesel price was cut by 50 paise. This is the second increase in diesel price in four months. However, there will be no change in petrol rates. Indian oil corporation said, the current level of the international prices and rupees-dollars exchange rate warrant a price increase, which is being passed on to consumers with this price revision.
