Dialogue must for peaceful solution of Kashmir issue: Farooq Abdullah

The Union Minister for New and Renewable Energy and President National Conference Dr. Farooq Abdullah has said that the dialogue both at external and internal levels is must for the peaceful solution of Kashmir issue. He added that the Indo-Pak relations have a direct bearing upon the people of Jammu and Kashmir and cordial relations between two countries would surely have a positive impact on the State. Addressing media persons at Jammu on Wednesday Dr. Abdullah maintained that violence is no solution to any problem and the separatist leaders of Kashmir should engage themselves in the process of dialogue initiated by the centre. Ruling out any conflict between the top leadership of both the parties, the national Conference president also made it clear that their coalition with congress in the state is going on smoothly. AIR correspondent reports, speaking on the occasion, the Jammu and Kashmir chief minister Omar Abdullah rejected any provision of rotational chiefministership in the State and said that before coming into coalition it was decided that this would enhance uncertainty in the coalition that in turn would not be in the public interest. Urging the State government to set up optimum units of non-traditional energy units in the state for a better future, the Union Minister apprised that the Union Ministry of New and Renewable Energy has sanctioned Rs over 130 Crores for Jammu and Kashmir for development renewable energy sources during this financial year.
