Dialogue best way to resolve Nagaland issues: PC

Home Minister P Chidambaram has said political issues in Nagaland can be resolved through peaceful dialogue. He said a political settlement could be arrived at for a just and honourable settlement of the issues involved in the state.Chidambaram said the state had gone through political difficulties but then they were seeing a beginning of the end to the political issues. He was addressing the first Mahila Battalion from Nagaland Armed Police in New Delhi today.On the security during the Commonwealth Games, the Home Minister said the Delhi Police with the help of paramilitary forces have done tremendous job. He said that no one had said anything negative about the security arrangements.Chidambaram said the people had come to know that stringent security arrangement was necessary in the modern world specially in any modern city and the people have to leant to live with it.He was also appreciative of the behavour the people of Delhi but said that it should not be a temporary affair and they must obey traffic rules and comply with security regulations. He said the Government was committed to remove gender bias againstwomen and therefore Mahila Battaliion has been raised.
