Dhoni visits Officers Training Academy in Chennai

From the great moments of victory and the accompanying travails in cricketing 'battles', Team India's captain Mahendra Singh Dhoni transformed himself into an 'Army captain' and spent time at the Officers Training Academy (OTA) in Chennai today.Lieutenant Colonel Dhoni, dressed in full Army fatigues, drove into the premises of the country's premier defence training establishment, taking time off from his hectic IPL schedule. As per the OTA sources, the Team India captain, who was conferred with the Honorary Lt Colonel in Indian Army last year, spent nearly an hour at the prestigious Institution. Dhoni is the first sportsperson and the first cricketer tovisit the OTA.This was also the first formal interaction with army men by a sportsperson.Addressing the gathering of officers and cadres, Dhonicomplimented the staff and cadets on the occasion of the GoldenJubilee of the Officers Training Academy, Chennai.Observing that it was a great honour for him to be conferredthe Lt Colonel Rank by the Army, he said he was very happy tovisit this premier training institution in India.
