The Dhaka Police on Saturday arrested Khandaker Mehnaj Rashid, daughter of retired Lt.Col Abdur Rashid convicted in the Bangabadhu Murder case, for her alleged connection with the bomb attack on Awami League MP Sheikh Fazle Noor Taposh’s car. With this the police have so far arrested three people in this case two of whom, are related to those convicted in the Bangabandhu assasination case. The Supreme Court is currently hearing the appeal in this case. The Police had already arrested Kamrul Haque Swapan on Thusrday who is, the brother of Shariful Haque Dalim, another fugitive convict in the assassination case. Abdur Rahim, a worker of the Freedom Party has also been sent to remand for his alleged involvement in the attack. . The car of Awami League MP Taposh was hit by a bomb blast as he was leaving his Motijheel office by car on Wednesday night this week. He was unhurt but 13 others, mostly bystanders, were injured in the explosion.
