In Bangladesh, a Dhaka court has warned former Prime Minister and BNP Chairperson Khaleda Zia of framing charges against her in 11 cases including a sedition case if she fails to appear before it on the next date scheduled for April 10. The Metropolitan Sessions Court Judge Kamrul Hossain Mollah passed the order today after Ms Khaleda moved separate petitions seeking non-appearance. <br/><br/>Of the 11 cases, 10 pertain to arson attacks during the BNP-led anti-government agitation during the first 3 months of 2015, while the 11th case deals with seditious comments made against freedom fighters and Liberation War martyrs. <br/><br/>The Supreme Court on Sunday cleared the way for a lower court to continue the trial against her in the Zia Charitable Trust graft case. Earlier, last week, the High Court had transferred the other graft case relating to Zia Orphanage Trust to a Special Judge's Court under instructions to complete the trial within 60 days.
