In Bangladesh, a Dhaka city court today sent Prof Syed Golam Maola , a teacher of Dhaka University who was arrested for his alleged links with the banned radical Islamic outfit Hiz ut Tahrir to three days police remand. <br/><br/>The court granted the remand for Maola, a management studies professor at the Dhaka University, in a case filed with the Uttara Police Station in Dhaka city under the Anti-Terrorism Act. <br/><br/>The detective branch of the Bangladesh police arrested him on Thursday afternoon while he was on his way to his residence in Dhanmondi area of Dhaka. <br/><br/>According to police officials, Maola was acting as adviser of the banned group following the arrest of Mohiuddin Ahmed who was the chief co-ordinator of the group.
