DGMOs level hotline with China soon for better border management: Parrikar

Defence Minister Manohar Parrikar today said Director General of Military Operations (DGMOs) level hotline with China will be a reality soon. Speaking to reporters in New Delhi, Mr. Parrikar said, there will be frequent and increased interactions with China for better border management.<br/><br/>On his recent visit to China, he said discussions were held in a very positive atmosphere. Mr. Parrikar, said Indian Ocean Region is fast becoming region of high activity. He also said that he has told Chinese authorities that there should be no double standards on Jaish e Mohammed Chief Masood Azhar.<br/><br/>On the Rafale deal, the Minister said, while the deal is in advance stage, he cannot say that negotiations are totally cleared until deal is signed. On Col. Prasad Purohit, who has been in jail for terror activities, Defence minister said, matter is in court so he cannot decide on the merit of the case. Mr. Parrikar, however, said whatever documents Col. Purohit wants will be given, except ones which affect national security.
