DGMO Lt Gen AK Bhatt speaks to his Pakistani counterpart

Director General of Military Operations, DGMO Lt Gen A K Bhatt spoke to his Pakistani counterpart this evening and informed him of unprovoked and coordinated ceasefire violations onto Indian civilians along the Line of Control by Pakistani troops. <br/><br/>He said Pakistani soldiers deliberately targeted civilian villages and fired at school children while they were being evacuated. <br/><br/>Lt Gen Bhatt told the Pak DGMO that the action by Pakistani security forces does not behove of any Army. He said the Indian Army, as a professional force, takes due care to avoid targeting civilians and Pak Army is expected to do the same. <br/><br/>The Pakistani DGMO was also informed about the spate of ceasefire violations which also included caliber escalation coupled with incidents of sniping and attempted infiltration bids. <br/><br/>He also exhorted his counterpart to exercise strict control on his troops and instruct them to refrain from such activities.

<br/><br/>Director General of Military Operations, Lt Gen A K Bhatt today spoke to his Pakistani counterpart and conveyed India's concerns over movement of terrorists along the LoC in Jammu and Kashmir.<br/><br/>The conversation comes amid killing of two terrorists in an encounter with security forces in Pulwama district. Army sources said the DGMO expressed concern regarding the movement of terrorists<br/>noticed along the Line of Control.<br/><br/>Pakistani DGMO was also informed about the repatriation of two Pakistani nationals apprehended in Uri. The individuals will be repatriated through Wagah border tomorrow.<br/><br/>The NIA had yesterday handed over two Pakistani youths to the army whom it had arrested in connection with last year's terror attack on the military base in Uri that had killed 19 soldiers.
