The government further lowered the export price of onion by 100 US dollars to 250 US dollars a tonne, within a fortnight, to make it competitive in the international markets. A Directorate General of Foreign Trade notification said in New Delhi that Minimum Export Price of all varieties of onion, except Bangalore Rose onions and Krishnapuram onions, will be 250 US dollars per tonne.
