Directorate General of Civil Aviation (DGCA) has asked all the scheduled airlines to closely monitor and plan flights as per weather forecast. It asked them to properly co-ordinate with dedicated teams of MeT Department and other agencies. The direction was issued to minimize the inconvenience to passengers and ensure safety of operation during low visibility period.<br/><br/>In reply to a question in the Lok Sabha, Civil Aviation Minister Ashok Gajpathi Raju said, instruction has also been given that in case of low visibility, flights should not be planned for Delhi during zero visibility condition and flights may be rescheduled from the point of origin. <br/><br/>He said, prior information should be given to passengers regarding change of flights or their schedule. In case of flight delays the passengers should be be taken care as per the provisions of the Civil Aviation Requirements.
