Taking strong note on Jat agitation, the Allahabad high Court has ordered the Director General of Uttar Pradesh Police to ensure smooth movement of Railways in Uttar Pradesh. The court asked him to take reasonable action as per the law for ensuring that the railways track blocked by the Jat movement are opened for the smooth traffic.Passing the judgment on a Public Interest Litigation filed in this case , the two judges bench comprising Justice Imitiaz Murtaza and Justice Shyam Shankar observed that since it is a matter of involving inconvenience and hardships to the general public lasting and the court cannot be expected to act like a mute spectator.
