DG CRPF to visit J&K to take stock of situation in Pampore terror attack

In Jammu and Kashmir, after one of the deadliest militant attack on the CRPF convoy on the Srinagar-Jammu National Highway in Pampore area of Pulwama district yesterday, the senior officials of the Home Ministry and the Director General of the Central Reserve Police Force are arriving in Srinagar this morning to review the situation and wreath laying ceremony of the slain CRPF personnel. <br/><br/>Eight CRPF personnel including a Sub Inspector were killed in suicide attack at Pampore besides injuring around two dozen personnel. AIR correspondent reports that the two attackers were also killed in the shootout. Three critically injured personnel in yesterday's attack are undergoing advanced treatment at Army's hospital in Srinagar.<br/><br/>Yesterday's attack was the deadliest attack since 2013 when that year on June 24, militants ambushed an Army convoy at Hyderpora Bypass in Srinagar, killing eight Army soldiers on spot.<br/><br/>Meanwhile, two unidentified militants were killed in an encounter near Line of Control in Lachipora forest area of Uri sector of North Kashmir's Baramulla district.
