Director General (News) and Director General of All India Radio Dr. Vasudha Gupta paid a visit to AIR Agartala station on Friday. In a meeting with the officials of the station, Dr. Gupta was briefed about the broadcasting facilities and program activities provided to the listeners.<br />'' <br />'' The Director General also interacted with the staff of the Regional News Unit of the station and reviewed activities of the RNU. She also inspected facilities of the News Room and Studios.<br />'' <br />'' On the occasion, Smt Gupta spoke about new initiatives to be taken up, especially in promoting traditional art, culture, tourism, music and folk songs of the state through different programs of Akashvani.<br />'' <br />''DG Dr. Gupta is on a week-long visit to different AIR stations of the North East region.
