Directorate Field Publicity, Union Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, J&K region, today organized one day orientation workshop on Intensified Mission Indradhanush (IMI) and Mission Parivar Vikas (MPV) for Family Planning, Tuberculosis and Leprosy in the winter capital city of Jammu.<br/><br/>Field functionaries of the directorate from across various parts of the state especially those from the far flung remote areas participated in the workshop. <br/><br/>The Mission Director J&K National Health Mission Dr. Mohan Singh, Renowned Epidemiologist Dr. JP Singh, Divisional Nodal Officer NHM, J&K, Dr. Harjeet Roy and Deputy Director Health Jammu Dr. Chander Praksah were the resource persons in the workshop. The experts threw light on various aspects of the communicable and non communicable diseases and the governments programme to deal with them.<br/><br/>Speaking on the occasion, Deputy Director DFP Jammu, Neha Jalali said that awareness regarding the various aspects of the governments' schemes is crucial to the field functionaries of the said directorate as these officials are the main carriers of the government's welfare schemes to the targeted beneficiaries at the ground level.
