Devotees take holy deep in Sangam

Thousands of devotees are taking holy dip in Sangam on the occasion of Magh Purnima today. People are also reaching in Varanasi and Ayodhya to take holy bath in Ganga and Saryu rivers. In Varanasi, a large number of Sant Ravidas followers are taking part in his birth anniversary celebrations being organized at Seer Govardhan temple today. Devotees, once again are reaching in large number at Sangam since morning for holy dip of Magh Purnima. Kalpwasis who have staying at Sangam for the last one month are ending Kalpwasis with today’s bathing. Thousands of Kapwasis will leave for their home after blessing of mother Ganga. Numbers of people are taking holy dip at Saryu River in Ayodhya and Ganga in Varanasi. The Magh purnima is also celebrated as the birth anniversary of great saint, Sant Ravidas. Thousands of followers from different parts of the country are taking part in ceremonies organized at his birth place seer Govardhan in Varanasi.
