The second day after Sai Baba forsake the body, Puttaparthy is immersed in a sea of humanity. Devotees from all parts of the country and abroad are bracing the heat waiting for hours to pay their last respects to the departed soul. The Ananthpur District Collector B Janardhan Reddy informed that among others, Cricket icon Sachin Tendulkar and his wife Anjali, Union ministers Vilas Rao Deshmukh and Praful Patel and Srilankan leader Ranathunga visited Prashanti Nilayam today. Reddy further added that Additional Director General of Police Ratan is personally supervising law and order situation in the town. He expressed satisfaction in this regard saying that adequate police force is deputed and single lane is maintained with suitable barricades placed around Prashanti Nilayam. He hoped that more than one lakh devotees are likely to come to town today.
