Devotees are taking holy dip at Sangam in Allahabad since morning on the occasion of first bathing of Magh month Paush Purnima today.Despite prevailing severe cold conditions and cloudy weather since morning a large number of devotees are reaching Sangam area for holy dip.Elaborate administrative and security arrangements have been made on this occasion. Boats are also not allowed today at Sangam due to safety and security reasons.Magh Mela officer told AIR that more than three lakh people took holy dip at Sangam till noon.Fourteen companies of PAC and about two hundred special water police have been deployed at Sangam area for security.
