Indian boxer L Devendro Singh entered the final of the Republic of Kazakhstan President's Cup in Almaty. The 20-year-old triumphed over his more experienced opponent, Olympian and Asian Games silver medallist Birzhan Zakipov of Kazakhstan in an enthralling contest. In the summit clash, he will take on Cuba's top Light Flyweight boxer Yosvany Veita.The other two Indian boxers in the fray, Asian Games silver medallist Manpreet Singh in 91kg and debutant Kanwar Preet Singh in 91kg plus category had to settle for bronze medals in the tournament.
