Devendra Fadnavis sworn-in as Chief Minister of Maharashtra

Devendra Fadnavis has been been sworn-in as the first BJP Chief Minister of Maharashtra alongwith nine ministers at a grand function in Mumbai's Wankhede Stadium.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, BJP patriarch L K Advani, Shiv Sena chief Uddhav Thackeray attended the event.

BJP President Amit Shah, chief ministers of several BJP ruled states, corporate leaders, Bollywood stars and other celebrities were also present.

Fadnavis, a fourth-term MLA from Nagpur is the 27the Chief Minister of Maharashtra and the 18th person to hold the post. He is also the fourth politician from Vidarbha region to become Chief Minister at 44.
