Development of J & K main agenda of Govt.: Mubarak Gul

Reiterating Government’s resolve to ensure equitable development of all the three regions of Jammu and Kashmir State, Advisor to Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister, Mubarak Gul has said that creation of basic social infrastructure in every nook and corner tops the agenda of the coalition Government. Addressing a Public Darbar at Chief Minister’s residence, Mr. Gul reiterated the commitment of the Government to provide all basic amenities to the people, adding that equal development of all the three regions is the ultimate aim of the Government. He said that the Centre has provided a whooping annual plan of 5500 crore rupees this year, adding that the amount would be utilized judiciously. Mr. Gul further said that funds worth 1700 crore rupees provided for various centrally sponsored schemes will also be spent to benefit the people at gross roots level.<br/><br/>Meanwhile, Chairperson of J&K State Commission for Women (SCW), Mrs. Shamima Firdous has underlined need for focusing attention about women’s rights among general masses. Interacting with media in Jammu after being appointed the Chairperson of State Commission for Women, she said the Commission plans to open various branches at all districts of J&K so that women will put their complaints at their doorstep. She said that SCW would work with full zeal and dedication to minimize women abuse cases in the State. She also stressed for opening of women hostels in various districts to provide residential facilities for the needy women.<br/>
