As only few days are left for active campaigning for polling of 70 Constituencies in Uttarakhand, political parties are doing aggressive campaigning.Meanwhile, various programmes are being organised across the state to create awareness among the voters on National Voters' day today.AIR correspondent reports that development, corruption and civic issues are in sharp focus during campaigning in holy city of Haridwar and state capital Dehradun.About two hundred fifty candidates including a number of independents are in the fray for twenty one seats of two districts. Speaker of Assembly Harvansh Kapoor, former chief minister Ramesh Pokhriyal Nishank, Samajvade Party State Chief Vinod Barthval, senior leader of Congress Heera Singh Bisht and two cabinet ministers are among the prominent candidates in these constituencies.Many other candidates of different political parties including left and regional parties are in the fray in these two districts.According to political analysts majority of these seats were represented by BJP candidates in the last assembly. But this time after the delimitation of constituencies, political scene may change. Ruling BJP is facing anti incumbency factor whereas Congress candidates are struggling with rebels of the party at a couple of places.
