Developing asia leads global economic recovery

The International Monetary Fund (IMF) chief Dominique Strauss-Kahn has said that developing Asian economies and China are leading a global economic recovery. He however warned that countries should not exit from stimulus packages that have bolstered growth through huge amounts of government spending. Mr Strauss-Kahn said recovery in advanced economies has been sluggish. He suggested that the IMF will raise its growth forecasts for this year. The IMF is currently predicting the global economy will grow by 3.1per cent in 2010.
