In Maharashtra, a devastating fire broke out in the Dongri locality of Thane on Sunday night, damaging about 250 hutments. According to the Thane district rural police, the fire broke out in the Bhayander township area around 10.30 PM and spread to the entire shanty, reducing it to ashes. However, there was no loss of life as all the huts were empty following the evacuation process in connection with a project.
