Union Home Minister Rajnath Singh has said, detection is the biggest deterrent for crime control and the forensic experts can play a major role in detection, investigation and identification of criminals.<br/><br/>Speaking at 24th All India Forensic Science Conference in Gujarat University at Ahmedabad on Saturday, Mr Singh emphasized the need for our police force to be sensitised and trained in forensics. <br/><br/>Highlighting the need to increase the country's cyber forensic capabilities in modern times, the Minister said, the government has decided to establish a cybercrime reporting portal to report cyber-crimes against women & children.<br/><br/>Mr Singh said, universities should come up with the uniform syllabus on forensics and work towards quality education.<br/><br/>Expressing concerns over new security challenges due to new technologies like Artificial Intelligence, Blockchain Technology and Cloud Computing, the minister said, forensic experts should transform these challenges into opportunities.<br/><br/>Mr. Singh also felicitated leading forensic experts for their contribution in the field of forensic sciences on the occasion.
