<span style="color: #222222;">The Government today informed the Loksabha that the details of Channels whose permission has been canceled for violation of the guidelines has been released in the Broadcast Seva Portal of the Information and Broadcasting Ministry.<br />''<br />'' Informing this in the Loksabha today, Union Minister for Information and Broadcasting Anurag Thakur said that all TV Channels are required to adhere to the Program code and the Advertising Code laid down under the Cable Television Networks Regulation Act.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"><br />'' He explained that the Ministry of Electronics and Information Technology is empowered to issue directions for blocking of content for violation of Section 69 A of the Information Technology Act.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"><br />'' The Minister added that 25 thousand 368 &nbsp;URLs, consisting of Web pages, websites, and pages on social media accounts have been blocked for violation.</span><br />'' <span style="color: #222222;"><br />''<br />''He also added that the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting has issued directions for blocking of 56 YouTube based news channels and their social media accounts for public access during 2021-2022.</span><br />
