The Government has said the details of the agreement on Rafael fighter aircraft with France cannot be disclosed to the public. <br/><br/>In a written reply in the Rajya Sabha yesterday, Defence Minister Nirmala Sitharaman said, the Inter-Governmental Agreement, IGA, between India and France on the purchase of the aircraft is classified information. <br/><br/>She said, the material exchanged under the the IGA is governed by the provisions of the Security Agreement signed between the two Governments in 2008. <br/><br/>The Inter-Governmental Agreement was signed on 23rd September, 2016 for the supply of direct flyaway of 36 Rafale aircraft. <br/><br/>Neither any Public Sector Undertaking nor Private Sector industry is included in the agreement.
