The Prime Minister Dr. Manmohan Singh said that the aim of the government is just not growth but an inclusive growth.

Addressing the 12th Plan Meet in New Delhi this morning, the Prime Minmister said that the investment in infrastructure development, health and education and skill development is key to the growth.

Saying that there was a remarkable achievement in 11th plan when the economy grew at 7.9 per cent, he exuded confidence that during the 12th Plan, the desired objective will be achieved.

Dr. Manmohan Singh said, courage and some risks needed to achieve high growth. He said, 12th Plan growth target has been lowered to 8.2 per cent from 9 per cent estimated earlier. Dr. Singh said, short-term economic problems present a challenge and there is a need to revive investment environment.
