In Uttar Pradesh, a deputy superintendent of police was today arrested in connection with allegedly sexually exploiting a girl in Kanpur. A lower court has sent him jail for 14 days under judicial custody.AIR Lucknow correspondent reports that a FIR for rape was lodged against the police officer at Chakeri police station in Kanpur. It was alleged that said police officer was exploiting daughter of a defense personnel at Kanpur for several years under threatening to her parents. A Lower court had issued a non bailable warrant against the Dy SP Amarjit Shahi. Police today arrested him from Jazmau area of the district from a bus in which he was travelling. He was posted at Pratapgarh district and recently directing departmental action against him state government had suspended him. He belongs to Punjab state. At the other hand government today suspended two police officers including an Additional Superintendent of police and a Dy SP posted at Azamgarh for alleged derelictions in duties.
