Supreme Court has taken serious objection to distorted news items reported in media. There were reports that a deputy Registrar of the apex court resigned protesting its order against stay of Yakub Memon's hanging.<br/><br/>Secretary General of the Court in a press note said that the Deputy Registrar was a faculty from National Law University and was working on short term assignment on deputation basis and has been reverted to his parent institution at his own request. The note advised the media to immediately present the correct facts before the public to dispel any misgivings.
