Deputy Governor killed in Afghan suicide attack

In Afghanistan, a suicide blast in the southern Ghazni province has killed the Deputy Governor of the province. Police said Mohammad Kazim Allayar was killed as the blast by militants struck his car this morning when he was going to office. According to provincial police chief, Zarawar Zahid, five more persons including two of his family members and three guards were also killed in the blast and 12 others sustained injuries. He said it was a suicide attack as the militants planted an explosive device on a motorbike and rammed it into the vehicle of the deputy Governor. The Taliban claimed responsibility for the blast.
