A team of Election Commission officials headed by Deputy Election Commissioner Umesh Sinha is holding series of meetings with the state authorities and political party representatives in Bengaluru since yesterday on upcoming assembly election preparedness.<br/><br/>The state Chief Secretary Ratna Prabha, DG and IGP Neelamani Raju and Chief Electoral Officer Sanjeev Kumar were among those who attended the meeting yesterday. <br/><br/>The team interacted with the Deputy Commissioners and Superintendents of Police of districts via video conferencing to find out about the poll preparedness. Today morning also they held further discussions with the senior officers of the state Government. <br/><br/>AIR correspondent the Election Commission of India officials continued to hold meetings with the state authorities today. <br/><br/>The sources said that information related to the enrolment of voters, number of polling stations and required number of election workers were given to the team. Security aspects were also discussed in the meeting. <br/><br/>The final publication of electoral roll will be done by February 20th. As on November last year there are over 4 crore 90 lakh voters registered in the electoral roll. Deputy Election Commisioner Umesh Sinha is briefing the media now on the election process.
