<span style="color: #222222;">Deep Depression has formed over the North Andaman Sea and adjoining the South-East Bay of Bengal. It is moving northwards off and along Andaman and Nicobar islands towards Maynmar Coastline. It is likely to intensify into a cyclonic storm in the next few hours. Thereafter, it will cross Myanmar coast in the early hours of 23rd March. As per the Metrological  Department, it is moving away 110 km east-southeast of Mayabunder.<br />'' <br />'' Not much effect have been observed in A&N Islands.  Moderate to heavy rainfall was received at various places in the islands. Strong winds and heavy rainfall have been forecast for the next one or two days. Wind speed is likely to go upto 85 kmph. Rough sea condition is expected. Fishermen have been advised not to venture into the sea till 23rd March.<br />'' <br />'' Taking precautionary measures, all tourism activities in A&N Islands remain suspended till tomorrow.  <br />'' <br />'' The Directorate of Disaster Management is closely monitoring the ongoing situation. Quick response and incident response teams have been formed at state to district level. State control room emergency numbers are operating 24X7 to tackle the situation.<br />'' <br />'' More than 1000 people including fishermen and local residents were evacuated to safer places by district administration with the help of NDRF from various low land areas in Rangat, Mayabunder and Diglipur in North and Middle Andaman district.<br />'' <br />''<br />''Particularly vulnerable Tribal Groups in A&N Islands living near coastal areas have also been shifted to interior and safe places.</span>
