Department of Publication has stopped physical printing and switched over to e-publishing of Gazette Notifications. Now the notifications will be available on its official website www.egazette.nic.in within five days of receipt of the same from respective ministries and departments. Urban Development Ministry in a press release said, the department for all future references will maintain the records for the gazette. This will put an end to the long wait for the important documents. The e-publishing will do away with the need for printing of about 3 crore 50 lakh pages of such notifications every year and lead to a saving of 40 crore rupees per year.
