The Department of Prison & Correctional Administration celebrated the Rashtriya Ekta Diwas in the Model Jail, Chandigarh on Wednesday. Adviser to Administrator of Chandigarh UT, Dr Dharampal attended the function as a Chief Guest.<br />'' <br />''Director General of Police, Chandigarh UT, Dr Praveer Ranjan , Home Secretary Nitin Kumar Yadav and Additional IG prisons Dr. Palika Arora, and Jail officers were also present on this occasion.<br />''<br />''<span style="color: #222222;">Adviser to the Administrator paid his gratitude to the Iron Man of India, Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel, by paying floral tribute. He also administered Rastriya Ekta Pledge to the Jail staff and Prisoners. A musical event was also organized on the occasion of Rastriya Ekta Diwas by the inmates. During his speech, he praised the Jail for being the first Jail of the Country to achieve the Zero Carbon Emission. The chief guest also awarded cash prize of 5000 rupees each to the 02 Jail officials for performing their duties with dedication and good conduct and 2500 rupees each to the 02 inmates for their best performance in Art and Management.</span><br />
